24 June - 4 July 2015

Olivia Stanton is an abstract artist whose work is rooted in a sense of place. The rich choices of colour she uses, the flat planes and lines, all reveal an engrossing interest in abstraction. Yet behind this energy and geometry there lie clearly discernible natural forms - the trunk of a tree, the curve of a hill. It is an exquisite weaving together of different genres, the abstract with the figurative, the intellectual with the heart-felt. A celebration of what it is to make art.
